Hamilton, October 23, 2024 - Business Link Media Group proudly celebrated the remarkable achievements of Hamilton's 40 Under Forty Business Leaders during their highly anticipated 11th annual awards ceremony. The prestigious event, held at Carmens Banquet Centre on October 23, 2024, honored the outstanding contributions of these exceptional individuals. Nearly 300 esteemed guests attended the gala, including Deputy Mayor of City of Hamilton, Councillor John-Paul Danko. 

 

The evening was hosted by Maters of Ceremony, Ashley Borzellino and Vince Genuardi, who introduced the 40 award recipients. This diverse group included local entrepreneurs, business professionals, and members of the non-profit sector. Over 20 distinguished alumni were also present to offer their support and encouragement to this year's winners.  

 

Supported by 36 local businesses, including 21 owned by alumni, the event showcased the strength of collaboration in fostering the growth and prosperity of our local business community. Marilyn Tian, President of Business Link Media Group, and Charlie Agro, Co-chair of the 40 Under Forty Hamilton event, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, volunteers, and stakeholders whose invaluable contributions ensured the event's success. Both Marilyn Tian and Charlie Agro have been recognized by the office of Mayor Andrea Horwath and Councillor Mike Spadafora for their efforts in organizing the annual 40 Under 40 Awards Gala.  

 

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the highly anticipated "Best in Class" award, sponsored by Deso Construction, which was bestowed upon John-Anthony Losani. His exceptional achievements and dedication have truly set him apart as a leader in Hamilton’s business community. 

 

Business Link Media Group was also delighted to present the 2nd Alumni Impact Award to PJ Mercanti, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the advancement and prosperity of Hamilton. Sponsored by UFCW Canada, this award honours alumni who have made a lasting impact. As a 2012 alumnus, PJ Mercanti stands as a shining example of community dedication, professional success, leadership, and influence. His unwavering commitment to making a difference, remarkable accomplishments in his industry, and powerful leadership reflect the true spirit of this recognition. 

 

In the past 11 years, Business Link Media Group’s 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Awards have recognized 440 of Hamilton’s next generation of business leaders. Serving the Golden Horseshoe since 2003, Business Link Media Group has evolved from a direct mail publishing company into an innovative marketing company by integrating and offering digital marketing and digital solutions such as AI chat portal. The firm has also expanded its reach substantially by addressing the growing global and future technology marketplace of local businesses in Hamilton and Niagara regions.
